The Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway has reopened following the recent Tennessee wildfires and so have the ski slopes, so grab your gear and hit the powder during your winter visit to White Oak Lodge and Resort.
All of the equipment and mechanics have been carefully checked and rechecked by engineers and the State of Tennessee, ensuring everything is in safe and good working order.
From December through March, enjoy outdoor adventure and winter sports at Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort. Here are a few of the things you’ll find.
All Skill Levels Welcome
Certified ski instructors are available to guide you through the basics. Beginners will want to try their first runs on the Ski School Slope and Cub Way. Intermediate skiers are invited to try the Ober Chute, Bear Run, Castle Run, and Alpine Run Trails. Advanced skiers will enjoy the challenges of Grizzly Trail and Mogul Ridge.
All the slopes are lit for Gatlinburg skiing at night. Relax at the apres-ski lounge, sit down for a meal, or grab a quick snack at the food court.
Ober Gatlinburg features a 9-lane, 400-foot snow tubing park with a 50-foot vertical drop. No experience necessary, just bring your sense of adventure!
Skate year-round on Ober’s huge indoor ice arena. The 140′ X 75′ indoor ice arena is the centerpiece of Ober Gatlinburg’s massive enclosed mall.
The Ski Mountain Coaster is a great way to fly through the wooded scenery and just take it all in.
If you need ski, tubing other equipment, rentals are available in the rental shop at Ober. There may only be one ski resort in Tennessee, but lucky for you it’s packed with fun and only 20 minutes from White Oak Lodge and Resort!
