OktOBERfest Brings German Traditions to Gatlinburg

Autumn is here and that means it’s one of the best times to visit White Oak Lodge and Resort (but when is it not?). This is especially true when OktOBERfest comes to Ober Gatlinburg, bringing you the finest fall festival in the area.

Celebrate this Bavarian-style event, the same one celebrated in Munich, Germany, with food, drink and music starting September 26 until November 2. Enjoy an authentic performance by the Bavarian Fun Makers Band, which features schuhplattling (a traditional dance), oompah music, sing-a-longs, yodels and more. Head over to the Ober Restaurant for a free show every day during OktOBERfest.

And to complement the ambiance, try some special OktOBERfest bier, wine, wurst, sauerkraut, schnitzel, strudel and other German specialties. Then work it off with a game of ladderball and cornhole. For more information, visit obergatlinburg.com.

The trees are starting to change color, so it truly is one of the best times to visit Gatlinburg. So when you visit us at White Oak Lodge and Resort this fall, make sure to take part in the 38 days of merrymaking at OktOBERfest!
