Gifts of Gatlinburg: Local Artisans Showcase their Crafts

You don’t have to rely on Black Friday for all of your holiday gifts when the Great Smoky Thanksgiving Arts & Crafts Show is right around the corner!

If you’re visiting Gatlinburg from November 26 to December 1, you can browse through crafts made by the 100-plus artisans from the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, to find one-of-a-kind treasures for your loved ones this holiday season.

You’ll find many hand-crafted items including wall art, pastoral furnishings, clothing, photographs, toys, food and home decorations at the largest independent organization of artisans in the nation.

What’s more, this shows craftsman’s heritage is filled with Gatlinburg’s history, a perfect place to learn about the history of the Smoky Mountain area and how the weavers, whittlers, potters and silversmiths found their calling. Some are fourth generation artists carrying on their family’s craft with plenty of fascinating stories to share.

The Great Smoky Arts & Craft Show will be held downtown in the Gatlinburg Convention Center and admission will be free. If you miss out on the Thanksgiving Crafts Show, you can catch the Christmas Craft Show December 2 to December 8.
