Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival has a round-up of musicals and events that will put you in the Christmas spirit while you’re visiting Gatlinburg, Tennessee this holiday season.
New for 2013, Dollywood is putting a spin on A Christmas Carol. This musical adaptation of the holiday staple features a 15-member cast including seven original songs written by Dolly Parton herself. They even added state-of-the-art holographic technology, allowing Dolly to take the stage in a special role.
Other holiday favorites taking the stage this winter include Christmas in the Smokies, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and O’ Holy Night.
Dollywood will sparkle with four million holiday lights, illuminating the 20-plus rides and attractions. Santa’s Workshop is the perfect place for kids to live among the toys and visit with the big man himself.
Most of the events run until Jan. 4, 2014, so there is plenty of time to join in on the festivities. Various ticket packages are available online or you can call 800-365-5996. Make your plans to visit the White Oak Lodge and Resort for this holiday spectacular today!
